4 Steps To Better Self-Care

Sometimes we are so busy that we forget to look after ourselves or we just don’t know where to begin. We have 4 steps to improve on your self-care in a simple and effective way.

1. Water – Hydrating your body with water and several mental and physical health benefits. Nutritionists recommend that a person drinks half their own body weight each day.

2. Nutrition – Balancing your nutrition is a great way to have improve your self-care. Be aware of what your body needs as this is what will help your body function better and think clearer. Your ability to then care for yourself will increase.

3. Activity–Activity is any movement that is not your body’s resting position. Most people tend to spend all day sitting. Activity can be as simple as just standing up. When you turn activity into exercise you release happy endorphins, so any form of activity is great to increase your self-care, both mentally and physically.

4. Sleep – Quality of sleep is highly important. Screen time is recommended to be turned off at least 30 minutes before actually going to sleep. How long you sleep and the quality of sleep can affect your self-care extremely but how much you get can be dependent on many factors.
